“From the West Coast to the Sydney International Equestrian Centre: Astrid Grove and BML Silhouette Gear Up for Australian Dressage Championships”

Western Australian rider Astrid Grove is making the long journey across the Nullarbor to the East Coast to compete at the Australian Dressage Championships in Sydney. She will be participating in the Under 25 Grand Prix competitions with her mare, BML Silhouette, affectionately known as “Ebony.”

Astrid purchased Ebony as a two-year-old and has spent the past nine years training her through the levels.

This marks Astrid’s first year competing at this level and the first horse she has produced from a youngster to Grand Prix.

In addition to her equestrian pursuits, Astrid works full-time as a Contracts Officer in Local Government and has saved her annual leave to make this trip possible.

This is her first time competing at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre. She is seizing the opportunity to compete in the under-25s competitions while she still can.

I want to give a huge shout-out to my family who travelled the Nullarbor with me, and to those who flew in to support me this weekend. I’m so grateful for the incredible support network behind this dream and goal,” Astrid shared.
